版权页: 插图: present study attempts to develop a cognitive textlinguistic approachto referring expressions within a more general theory of communica-tion. It argues that the referential choice marks a shift of viewpoint,and even the common uses (those explicable by accessibility) can beseen as a reflection of default perspective (e. g. the shared viewpointof the speaker and addressee). The speaker, in making an utter-ance, simultaneously comments upon that utterance and expresseshis attitude to what he is saying.
