(2) In—depth interview with business executives: thanks to a range of horizontal and vertical research projects, we have a number of opportunities to engage with businesses and anend various workshops.As a result, we have gained a better understanding about how flrms continuously absorb external knowledge through the network.With the assistance of Policy Consukation Center of Communist Party of China (CPC) Shandong Provincial Commmee Policy Study Office and Publicity Department of CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, we visited a number of local companies in Shandong and conducted face—to—face interviews with their senior executives, business unit heads and field workers.We sought their opinions on key issues in this book, including —superficial validity of the research model and the measurement of the variables.Hence, We were able to develop and verify key questions for project modeling and questionnaire design.Based on the connotation and extension of the variables collected, addition and deductions were made to the variablemetrics list developed through literature review and theoretical inference processes.After several revisions, We eventually developed the questionnaire to be distributed.
