作者简介
郭敬谊,重庆交通大学外国语学院剐教授,专攻土木工程英语和海事英语教学,培训与翻译,长期从事专业英语教学和翻译实践,主讲土木工程程文献阅读、FIDIC工合同条件、隧道工程英语、港航工程英语、船舶工程及海洋工程英语、航海英语等专业英语课程并发表了有关论文,出版了相关教材。在翻译实践方面,参加了国家重点工程:二滩水电站项目、南水北调输水工程项目、马来西亚槟城二桥项门和港珠澳大桥项目的专职驻场翻译工作。韦良文,工学博士、副教授,现就职于重庆交通大学土木建筑学院,依托学校“桥梁与隧道工程”博上点、山区桥梁与隧道工程国家重点实验室培育基地,主要从事隧道与地下工程施工数值分析和材料等方面的教学研究。近年来主要研究了国家科技支撑计划项目、国家自然科学基金及各类横向课题等项目近10项,发表论文20余篇。目前主持、参与重庆市多项公路隧道、地铁隧道、地铁车站的监控量测、检测与超前地质预报等工作。

Driven by new theory for tunnel design and construction method,particularly based on theconclusion and summarization of practical experiences on highway operation and management, theprinciple of "straight line rather than curved one" in tunnel line selection is broken. In the routeselection of modern tunnels, more and more curve tunnels are selected gradually, which is a morecommon practice in oversea projects. For example, to fit for the terrain and environment conditionsa section of curved tunnel in length of 1.2km was designed to constitute a part of Baraschi twintunnel in Austria. The principal reasons for the increment of curve d tunnels are :to avoidharmful geological areas and improve the safety of tunnel structure;to limit travel speed and fullyensure travel safety; to effectively control the dazzling phenomenon brought about by theacceleration when getting out of the tunnel. Curved tunnels are helpful in preventing trafficincidents. For example, the Chongqing Cuntan Tunnel, which was opened totraffic on December 28,2008, was mainly intended for heavy-duty container trucks travelingthrough Cuntan areas and the tunnel is in total length of m, with horizontal plane curve radiusof BOOm and longitudinal slope gradient of 3%. The curved tunnel with small radius was designedfor the purpose of limiting or preventing heavy-duty vehicle from traveling into harbor zone inaccelerated speed, which may give rise to traffic incidents and this kind of design embodiedhuman-orientated design concept.
